It’s time to blow off the cobwebs this October, by taking on the Halloween Great Run Solo challenge – if you dare!

Your Challenge

Submit your results or log and track each run as you go

You can start to log activity once the challenge has started.
Enter the last seven digits of your Great Run Solo Registration ID and date of birth to log in.

Your Great Run registration ID is the unique reference number found in your entry confirmation email. e.g. if your reference is ACAP23S4686R5162121, enter 5162121. Help.

The Halloween Great Run Solo challenge is now SOLD OUT. If  you missed out this time, sign up to our reminder here and we’ll let  you know as soon as the next challenge opens.

There are no tricks here, only treats! Complete a minimum of 12 runs or walks (of any distance) during October and earn a spooktacular medal, plus complete 30, 60, or 100 miles and a bespoke digital certificate (plus some serious bragging rights, of course).

Whether you’re a seasoned pro, or looking to begin your running journey, this challenge is for runners of all levels, allowing you to experience the thrill of running from wherever you are, at your own pace, and on your own schedule. If you’ve taken part in one of our 2024 Great Run events, then this is the perfect way to continue your running journey, giving you extra motivation this spooky season.

Taking part costs just £15*, which includes access to our cracking tracking tool, a red-hot medal, and a digital certificate for finishers. All entrants will also receive access to our exclusive Great Run rewards scheme with Endurance Zone, giving you fantastic offers and deals from some of the biggest sports brands in the industry.

Runs can be of any distance as you take on our Halloween running challenge this October. Just make sure you do at least 12 runs (or walks) by the end of the month to smash this challenge.  You’ll receive your very own spooktacular medal as a lasting memento of all the miles you’ve covered. Arriving in November, you can wear it with pride for your friends and family to see. Don’t be a lazy bones, reach your Ghouls this October!

(OPTIONAL) ACCUMULATOR DISTANCE AWARD 

Fancy an extra challenge? We have three optional distances for you to aim for. Depending how far you travel over your 12 (or more) runs/walks, we’ll award you a special digital finisher’s certificate to download and share.

30 miles – Fright on track 

60 miles – Wicked Effort 

100 miles – Fang-tastic Achievement 

From 1st October, you can log your runs with our online tracker, or use your own tracking app or device to record your activity if you prefer.  Once you’ve completed all your runs and reached your target distance, submit your results and we’ll have your digital finisher’s certificate ready.

The Reward

Halloween Great Run Solo

Complete the challenge by 31 October, and register your runs before the 8 November deadline, and we’ll send you a unique finisher’s medal to celebrate your achievement.

Autumn Medal

Our spooktacular Halloween challenge medal (pictured) features a vibrant ‘Dia de los Muertos’ inspired design, with a glow in the dark pin badge, guaranteed to stand out from the rest of your collection (or the perfect way to kickstart your collection). All this year’s Great Run Solo medals will feature a unique pin badge that be detached from the medal, so you can wear it with pride every day. Make sure you collect all the 2024 Great Run Solo pins, with the next challenge coming later this year!

Your entry fee also includes access to our online tracking tool – live here on the challenge page from 1 October – as well as access to Great Run Rewards, and support throughout the challenge. Digital finisher certificates are available to download (and share!) when you submit your results and are available to download until the results submission deadline on Friday 8 November.

Note for international runners: there is an additional £3.50 charge to cover medal postage.
