The Great Run Company and Brooks Running Announces Multi-Year Partnership
Brooks Running, a global leader in performance running gear, tools, and experiences, and The Great Run Company are proud to announce multi-year partnership. Brooks and The Great Run Company share a belief in the power of running and the ability it has to improve lives, both mentally and physically, and encourage people of all backgrounds to participate. As part of this partnership, Brooks will become the official footwear partner of the AJ Bell Great Run Series through to 2027.
The partnership will position Brooks as a key supporter to all AJ Bell Great Run Series participants from race sign up, training, racing, and celebrating the run. Brooks create solutions for runners, test them over miles, assess feedback and repeat. And repeat. And repeat. Every groove in the soles of your shoes, every inch of fabric in your gear and every single stitch has a reason to exist. If it doesn’t improve your run, you won’t see it in their gear.
“With over 170,000 runners participating each year, 500,000 supporting on the streets and over 3 million watching at home via the BBC the AJ Bell Great Run Series has become synonymous with best in class races in the UK. Their belief in the Power of Running perfectly aligns to Brooks’ belief that a run can change, a day, a life the world and that every day is better with a run in it. Over the next 4 years we’re excited to be a part of each individuals runner journey to the finish line of the Great Run events across the UK.”
Jim Miles, Brooks Director of Marketing EMEA
Paul Foster, Chief Executive of The Great Run Company, said: “The challenge of a mass participation event provides the inspiration people need to get and stay active. Through our UK wide AJ Bell Great Run series, we are able to create a community of runners, whether it’s their first event or latest PB attempt.
“Working with Brooks Running as official footwear partner is an important partnership in our ongoing development, and we’re looking forward to the many opportunities we will uncover together over the next four years.”
Over 4 million runners have crossed the finish line of the AJ Bell Great Run Series and each year £25 million is raised for charities.
