Manchester’S Fastest Businesses Revealed

Christmas Entries Open Soon Sitewide

THE winners of this year’s Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run Business Challenge can be revealed.

More than 180 businesses challenged 2,500 runners to take on the 10K or half marathon distance at the Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run, which took place on Sunday 20 May.

The Business Challenge has firmly become an annual fixture in the calendar of North West businesses, taking place as part of the iconic city centre running event which sees more than 30,000 people run, jog or walk their way through Manchester.

Companies entered male, female or mixed teams of 4-8 runners to compete for the trophy awarded to the fastest small, medium and large businesses across the categories in the half marathon and 10K events.

In the 10K, the overall winners were Five Plus Architects (Small Business), Social Chain (Medium Business) and Arup (Large Business).

Five Plus Architects won the Small Business Male category while Melanoma UK won Small Business Female category. Winner of the Small Business Mixed category was Medicines Discovery Catapult.

Winner in the Medium Business Male category was Social Chain. Female winners were DLA Pipe UK with GG Hospitality winning the Mixed category.

Winner of both the Large Business Male and Female categories was construction giant Arup, while LTE Group took the honours in the Large Business Mixed category.

In the Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run half marathon, the overall winners were Regital Media (Small Business), Fichtner Consulting Engineers (Medium Business) and Arup made it a double with their second Large Business award of the weekend.

Small Business mixed winner were Regital Media, Medium Business male overall winners were Fichtner Consulting Engineers. Medium Mixed winners were Atmos International.

In the Large Business category, Arup were Male and Female winners, while Together scooped the Mixed category.
