Jo & Sparky Set Records For The Great Birmingham 10K
Free Radio presenters, Jo & Sparky, stepped back into the 1980s as they picked their top tunes through the eras, for the new ‘music waves' at this year's Morrisons Great Birmingham 10k.
Jo & Sparky were joined by local charity, Acorns Children's Hospice and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Trust, who rocked out as their favourite singing stars in support of the 2015 Great Run series, coming to Birmingham on Sunday 3rd May.
The Morrisons Great Birmingham 10k will give entrants the chance to set off to a selection of energising music and dress up as their idols from the Seventies, Eighties, Nineties and Noughties.
David Hart, communications director for the Morrisons Great Birmingham 10k, said: “Whether you choose to run or walk the 10k route; the music waves will bring a buzz like no other right through to the city centre finish – and the buzz doesn't get much bigger than Birmingham's!
“We will also be looking out for the best fancy dress on the day – so whether you're Madonna on the move, a jogging Jacko or running rock god, make sure you get noticed!”
Free Radio Marketing Director Andy Price added, "With thousands of Brummies set to be hitting the streets listening to their favorite music, raising lots of money for local charities, this is set to be a fantastic new event for Birmingham".
Whether it be music from the 70s, 80s, 90s and the 00s, the event promises to bring a party to the city centre. You can sign up now at www.greatrun.org/great-birmingham-10k.
