Christmas Entries Open Soon Sitewide

Global technology brand Garmin will be the new title sponsor of the Great Ireland Run in 2018.

The Garmin Great Ireland Run takes place in The Phoenix Park Dublin on Sunday 15 April. Thousands of runners are expected to take part in the event which features a 10K, 5k and the Garmin Junior Mini Great Ireland Run for kids aged 3 -15.

The title sponsorship of the event is an extension of the existing successful partnership between the Great Run Company and Garmin, who are the Official Wearable Technology Partner for the Great Run Series in the UK at both adult and junior events.

Garmin's Head of Marketing Richard Daish said: ““We're delighted to announce the Garmin Great Ireland Run. Garmin is passionate about improving runners at all levels through use of GPS technology. Whether embarking on a first run, working to progress performance or smashing your PB there is a Garmin device to accompany every runner – 5k, 10, half or full. We're excited to see runners take to the streets of Dublin on race day and Beat Yesterday.”

Nicky Homes, commercial director of the Great Run Company said, “We're delighted to extend our partnership with Garmin to include title sponsorship of the Great Ireland Run.

“Like us, Garmin believes in supporting everyone as they work towards achieving their own personal activity goals and we are sure this will resonate with runners taking part in the event.”
