City Year Uk Join The Great Manchester Run
One of the teams taking part in the Great Manchester Run this year for the NSPCC is a team of five from City Year UK, they are Aisling, Kirsty, Megan, Khadija and Liam.
Aisling explains just why her and her colleagues are taking part in the Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run 10K for the NSPCC.
She said: “Working in a school is eye opening. There are so many children who have been through more than most people experience in a lifetime and without the NSPCC there are many vulnerable children or concerned adults who wouldn’t know where to turn.”
Khadija added, “So that’s why myself and my colleagues have decided to take part in the Great Manchester Run to fundraise for the leading children’s charity who are fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. They help children that have been abused and protect those who are at risk. Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse”.
Abuse ruins childhood, but it can be prevented. That’s why we’re here. That’s what drives all our work. And that’s why – as long as there’s abuse – we will fight for every childhood.
Join Team NSPCC at the Great Manchester Run and help us to keep children safe.
