Go Manchester!
It’s a run for everyone, of all ages and abilities, whether you’re just beginning your running journey, or conquering your 50th half marathon. So whether you do it to hit a fitness goal, to do something incredible for charity, to hear thousands of strangers cheering you on, or simply for fun, take your place on the start line and experience it all for yourself. It’s an experience like no other, be part of it!
We are excited to stage the VI Runners Half Marathon Challenge as part of the event again in 2024, for people registered as severely sight impaired (previously “blind”). Full details, including how to enter, can be found on the information page here.

We believe in the Power of Running. For Great Run series ambassador and elite athlete, Eilish McColgan, running has always been a part of her life, and the Great Run events have been a proud part of her journey.
Everyone who signs up for the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run is a runner, regardless of finish time, and everyone has their reason for running. In our Power of Running campaign, we are bringing to life some of the amazing stories behind the tens of thousands of runners who line up on the start line each year. Tell us about your running story, and you could be featured in our campaign.

Manchester Foundation Trust Charity supports continuing excellence in treatment, research and care in our family of hospitals across Manchester and Trafford, including Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
As a charity our mission is simple: to support the excellence in treatment, research and care we provide to our patients each and every day. We want to make a real difference to the people we treat – young and old – by making sure that they continue to receive the very best treatment in the very best facilities. We do this by focussing our fundraising efforts on three key areas – treatment, research and care.
We’re Mind. We’re here to fight for mental health. We produce trusted information all about mental health problems. We support people through our helplines and online Side by Side community. We campaign with the government to get a better deal on mental health. And we speak out when something isn’t right, demanding mental health support respects our rights. There’s so much we do – and we couldn’t do it without you, so thank you.
